Ecclesial Open House

Our ecclesia built a new building some 3 years ago. Since that time, we haven't really done anything to introduce ourselves to the community at large, and to this past weekend, we set out to rectify that by holding an Open House! We had free food, games for the kids and information boards about who we are, etc. It was a long day-we began set up at 11:30 and ran the Open House from 3-7. The clean up lasted until 9 or so. The kids did alright-all things considered. They had their issues, but all in all, it was a good day. And, the best part is, we had a great turn out.

Byron, having lunch and being shy. Ok, actually, he's being grumpy because I had just told him, "Sit down and eat your lunch....NOW!"

David, enjoying his Dorito Sandwich. Sigh. You know, you have to wonder where to draw the line between "well at least he's eating" and "you need to eat healthier foods, son".

And now he's pestering...I mean...helping Aunt Marsha set up games

We had a small "petting zoo", too, thanks to one of the families in our meeting. This was a HUGE hit with our kids, not to mention the guests we had.

Gracie loved this little calf and he was adorable, let me tell you.

The pig had not arrived yet, so Grace, Moriah and Joanna were filling in. Luke is trying to pretend he's not there.

The bouncy house was also a HUGE hit.

Danger! Danger! Did we get everyone out? It appears that our electrical wiring could not handle 2 blowups...

David loved the horse...

He was determined to feed it this little piece of grass

Byron, getting a little popcorn bag
