A Dress for Ruthie
It is hard to clothes shop for Ruthie. She is of an unusual shape for today's styles. I spent a fruitless weekend, a while back, shopping for clothes for her. It's getting colder and she really needed some winter dresses, so last night she and I spent a couple of hours at Joann Fabrics picking out patterns and dresses. We have a wedding to attend tomorrow, so I was hoping to get it done in time. As soon as we got home, I put all the fabric in to wash. I like to pre-wash everything so if it's going to shrink, it's done before I invest a ton of time into making my project only to have it shrink with the first wash. I was really excited to sew...so excited I even dreamed about it. I got up bright and early and tackled the first dress. With a stop for Byron's speech class my only big break, I completed the dress this afternoon. Done in time for the wedding. I even have spare time to do more laundry!

I'm envious...I can't sew a lick!
