Four Eyes! Four Eyes!

Isn't she a cutie?

Grace spent a few hours last evening wearing her new glasses and her consensus was: "I hate them!" But, I'm the meanie and I made her wear them again today. So far, she's keeping them on and she said just now that they aren't quite so bad and she's okay with them. I gather from her, that the floor keeps looking funny to her, so she's having a hard time walking occasionally. I think the more she gets used to them the better she'll do.
And just for the record, she was saying "cheese" here. She looks like she's about to cry, though.

I can sooo relate to that "just got new glasses, can't walk" thang! Growing up, I barely made it a year until I absolutely had to get new glasses and I so remember feeling shorter and closer to the ground. I was constantly misjudging my steps for the first week or two! I *still* feel that way when I get new glasses, it's just longer in between times. And then there was that new bifocal change last year, but we won't go there!

My oldest just got glasses a month or two ago!

But, my oh my, Grace is a cutie with those new glasses!

She's darling! My son got glasses when he turned five, wore them sometimes but when he turned 6 he wore them all the time. He is 7 now and always wears them. The eye doctor said he must be a very visual person since he chooses to wear them as much as he does. Hopefully, your daughter will also see that her glasses do help her, even if it takes her awhile to realize it. I found your blog through the FIAR blog ring!

She looks wonderful! I got glasses when I was in 1st grade... yep, hated 'em! But my 1st photograph with them is my dad's favorite of all time. And now, it's one of my favorites too.

They will grow on her and she will learn to love them just so she can see! But that will take time.
