Miss A's Head

Today was co-op and it was a little crazy, as always. I won't go into the details of trying to get everyone out the door since I regale you all quite regularly with tales of mayhem and woe. However, after co-op, my cousin Amanda kept my kids at her house while I ran Miss A to the Children's Hospital here. You see, she has complained off and on of her incision area hurting. I brushed it off, thinking that it was probably nothing. We hear a lot of complaints of hurts that aren't really there. But, this time, I decided to feel around. I felt an indentation on her skull. It felt like a hole, actually, about the size of my pinkie finger tip. Now, I know that the bones didn't fit perfectly when they were put back in and I wondered if this was normal or not. I was under the impression that any cracks had been filled in with some adhesive. I called the neurosurgeon and explained the situation and also mentioned that when I look at her head, I can see the spot pulsing like it did when she did not have the bone flap there. It was when I mentioned that part that it changed from a "hmmmm" to a "bring her in for x rays just in case". So, we ran up for the x rays. It was not fun. She pretty much screamed and cried her way through them. And all she really had to do was lay there. :) We should know in a day or two what the deal is with this. I'm really hoping it's not the one in a million "I'm sorry buy your bone flap is being absorbed by the body and has to be replaced again." It's totally possible, but not likely. I pray.
