Coming Home

The funeral for my Grandfather was a whirlwind trip. We left Monday afternoon (3pm) and arrived at my aunt's house at 9:30. The funeral service was at 11 am the next day and we then left at 4pm Tuesday to head home.

We treated ourselves to dinner out (thanks to a very generous relative-you know who you are!!). The kids were so tired that we were able to make most of the journey home before we had to stop. When we did, we ate at Ichiban Steakhouse where the kids got a taste of Hibachi cooking. It was such a trip to see them. They were in awe of the whole process. Miss A was torn between enjoying herself and being scared out of her wits by all the fire. A true treat for us all.

The kids LOVED the appetizer soup and salad that came with my dinner. The three girls ate most of my soup and salad. Here, Ruth is giving me affirmation of her enjoyment.

Grace, in baby bird mode, awaiting another bite.

No, really, David, smile...act like you like to eat!

That's better!

That's so neat that you got to do that! I just had my first Hibachi experience at the ripe old age of 19. I was probably in just as much awe as your kids, haha!
