Last Monday's Art

Last Monday, my K kids looked through a book called "How Artists See Feelings". It's part of a six book set that gives some great examples of famous art that depicts feelings, weather, play, families, animals and people. The Feelings book depicted Fear, Love, Joy and Sadness. The kids really got a kick out it and we talked about how shapes and color can give you feelings. Then, I had the kids draw their own pictures depicting an emotion. I had to laugh since both Grace and Isaiah opted to begin with Fear. I also encouraged the kids to name their pictures.
