And, many weeks later, we return to
Jenkin's Ear in a Jar. What fun we had watching our chicken "ears" deteriorate before our eyes. Clearly Ol' Jenkins had the right of it when he said, "Why, I believe I'll keep my cut off ear and save it in a jar of whiskey!" Too bad Van Gogh did not think of that.

| Clearly, plain flesh in a jar is not a good idea. This stunk so bad, that not even a sealed lid could contain it. Unfortunately for the guests I had recently housed, I had a head cold at the time and could not smell a thing. I apologize for the olfactory assault you endured in my kitchen. |
