A Morning of Hiking in Which I Did Not Participate

Oh yes. A champion title. Chris took the kids hiking. I packed them a snack. Put on their bug spray. Sent them all to the primitive toilet and sent them on their way. David opted not to go. His little legs don't handle much hiking without much whining. So, he spent the morning at the playground with Shannon and I spent the morning with feet propped up sipping coffee and reading a book. For hours. It was wonderful. I could really love the outdoors if that's what it was like all the time. I really could.
