Sunday School Breakfast
Every fall, we have a Sunday School Kickoff Breakfast the last Sunday of the summer before our fall session begins. We all have breakfast at the hall and this year the kids had a little performance for the rest of the meeting. Amanda and I had taught the 3-6 yr olds over the summer and we worked with them on obedience, self-control, and faithfulness. We studied 2-3 people in the Bible per character trait and emphasized how the kids can incorporate them into their daily lives. Being of the impetuous ages they were, we thought obedience and self-control were good ones to cover in real-life application. The kids memorized a few verses and learned three songs. After everyone had gotten through the line for food, but still hadn't finished their food, they were captive for our little ones' performance. :)

L-R David, Byron, Luke, Andrew, Nate, Grace, Isaiah, Jo
Although Byron probably knew the songs the best of my kids, he was not as cooperative about actually singing them in front of everyone.
They sang a song about obedience. Having the letters seemed like a good idea at the time, but somehow it went south in practice....
