The Park
Today, after meeting, we went to the park to meet three of Byron's sisters. They had been asking about him, so we planned an outing at the park to meet them. In preparation for the day, Byron and I looked at his pictures from his first placement. We saw pictures of his sisters, but he did not seem to remember them, so I'm glad I remembered to show him the book before we went. We got there a little early and he had a chance to play before the girls got there. It was good-it gave him time to get acclimated. I'm sure he was nervous. He was not acting like himself beforehand. It went pretty well. His sisters are 10, 14, and 15. The older two asked if he remembered them and when he said no, they pretty much left him to his playing. The youngest sister stuck by him, though, and Byron did warm up to her eventually. They played on the slide and the swings as well as fed the ducks. But, after about 45 minutes, Byron drifted back over to the kids and me and stayed there the rest of the time. (I tried to keep my distance so the girls could have time with him.) They left soon after that and although he didn't want to, I made him take his picture with them. I'm thinking I may get it printed and send it along to them.

David loves this 4-wheeler toy. He was riding it, pretending he was going to the store.
And Byron liked it too...not a good combination. Heehee

Also listening for the egg to hatch....or, is she really sleeping? Who can tell?
