Just in Time for the Holidays!

Yesterday, the family and I spent the day at my parents' house. My mom had gotten a new scanner and Chris was installing it as well as beginning to scan the old photo scrapbook that my grandma had made. The kids were playing after lunch and Grace went upstairs to get a puzzle. As she was coming down the stairs (can you guess where this is going?) she slipped on the bottom step. Since she was grasping her puzzle, her hands were not available to break her fall. She screamed bloody murder (but then again, she's been doing that lately anyway) and I felt kinda bad for her. She snuggled up on the couch and watched videos all afternoon while Ruth and David went outside to play. Around 5pm, I tried to look at her arm since she was sleeping and she immediately woke with a yelp. That's when I told Chris we should take her to the ER. So, two hours later she was splinted and coming home. She has a fracture in her left radius and we'll be trying to get it cast tomorrow or the day after Christmas if we can't find someone to do it tomorrow. She is not in as much pain as she had been yesterday and she is contemplating most seriously just which color she should have on her cast. Pink or Purple?
