Hashawha
Saturday was a full day for us. We had an early breakfast (7:30) and then three classes to attend, lunch and then an afternoon of free time, that we amply filled. The kids' classes were for ages 4-7 and 8-12. So, all the kids were in the same class. There were only 10 kids in the class anyway and we donated 4 of those kids. Unfortunately, the third session class teacher had gotten sick, so there was no teacher. I volunteered to help and ended up just teaching the class. It went fine, though, and we had a good time.

After lunch, we headed out for a walk to the nature center for a wildlife education class. It was a class geared towards the kids, but it was really interesting and I learned some things as well. Did you know, that a toad uses it's eyeballs to swallow it's food because it has no neck muscles?

After our nature talk and a hike in the woods, the kids played on the playground until dinner. We ate and did the readings at 6. They all promptly fell asleep. It was a good day.

The toad. You can tell it's a girl because she has a black ring around her eye. Males are red, yellow and sometimes orange.
The box turtle-she was about 35 years old
Mr. Bryan and the 3 year old box turtle. I had no idea they grew so slow.
The Corn Snake. Ew.
And the FIVE FOOT LONG Black Rat Snake. Double EW!
David loved the spear heads
David tried real hard to put the bench back together
David getting in a little game of soccer
Byron doing a few soccer moves, too
