Day 1

Today the forecast was for rain most of the day. We decided to hit the Natural History Museum and try to see the Washington Monument if the weather let up at some point. The kids were real troopers. We were out for a long day. We left the hotel after rush hour and returned around 6 for dinner and relaxation. We've got a great set-up here-a nice little fridge stocked from the grocery store across the street, two rooms, so the kids have space and so do Chris and I (not to mention two bathrooms-yeah!), a little microwave for variety in dinner options. We ended up seeing the Natural History Museum a little, then we headed over the Washington Monument and got in immediately, then we hit the Air and Space Museum for a late lunch (2pm) and abbreviated viewing until 5 when we headed out.
