My Poor Laptop
I was just going about my day, when my poor, overworked, underpaid laptop just.stopped.working. It was tragic and frustrating all at the same time. Now, I'm not very smart about computers, but when your laptop freezes and you do a hard reboot and all it does is gently whir for 1.2 seconds and then become deathly quiet you fear the worst. And, when your husband (who just happens to know computers) takes out your hard drive and it boots right up, you begin to cry because living with above-mentioned husband for more than 10 years has taught you that this is a hard drive problem and you should have backed up all 10+ years of photos and documents and homeschooling things. But you didn't. And you try not to cry and remember that at least you have your home and kids still. But, then he resuscitates the computer, immediately shuts it back down and says, "Don't touch it! I'm going to Best Buy to get something to back this up..." you start to have a little hope again. You take the kids and go to hymn practice because you don't really want to be there when he works on the computer anyway. And, when you get home some 4 hours later, you find this:
(No computers were hurt in the backing up of this hard drive)
And you're glad you left him alone to work.
