Well, here is Grace's. Let's see. "scenic representation" check. "figures" check. "lifelike" check. "miniature" check. "blend indistinguishably with a realistic painted background" .......chirp chirp.....Okay, no check there. Here we have the tranquility of a horse grazing amongst a dwarf tree. Across the river an enormous cow is bedding down behind a fence while a moose wonders just how he came to be so much smaller than the cow beside him.
Grace's diorama lasted just mere hours before it was completely torn apart and I was left wondering just why I had invested the time into doing it in the first place.

The kids got their animals glued in so quickly, that half our class time was spent in imaginative play with the remaining animals and fences.
