Texas Trip Day 5-Tuesday

Our last day in Dallas meant we needed to shop for boots for the boys.  David had a pair of boots that I bought him at least a year ago from the children's resale shop and he loved them so much he was squishing his feet into them long after they really fit.  Since both boys had birthdays close to our trip date, we decided to buy them boots.  (Byron's birthday was in September, but we made an unexpected trip to MI for a funeral right at Byron's birthday and he was shortchanged there and David's birthday is coming up a few days after we return.)  They had a ball in the western store, hunting for boots that met all the criteria: looks, price, and fit.
The boys modeling their new boots.  Byron is wearing his David-style: one pant leg in, one pant leg out.

Saying good-bye to Aunt Cathy, before we head down to visit with Aunt Julie and Uncle Ricky.

The boys slept on a hide-a-bed and they were thrilled that their cousin Gideon was allowed to sleep there as well.  Aunt Julie reads bedtime stories to her kids, so the boys lucked out with 2 bedtime stories and a few songs.  I  hope they don't get used to that.  In all the excitement, it took them until well after 10pm to actually fall asleep.
