Beowulf

We've begun a new Read Aloud this week. It's Beowulf. We've read the first 20 pages and the kids are totally hooked. They can't wait to hear the next installment tomorrow. Today, we read the intro pages and the beginning of the tale with Grendel. So far, in the story, Grendel has come once and Beowulf has ripped off Grendel's arm. The kids just ran through the house saying....

David: "I'm a Grendel Monster!"
Grace: "I'm going to cut your arm off!"
Ruth: "NO! You have to RIP it off!"
Byron: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", dashing away...

Sometimes I just love homeschooling. :)
